ROLE SUMMARY:Revamp is seeking a Civil Design Engineer II to support the delivery of civil engineering and land development designs for utility-scale renewable energy projects. This role applies broad engineering knowledge to perform and coordinate design tasks on small projects or portions of larger, more complex projects under the guidance of more senior staff.The Civil Design Engineer II evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering procedures and criteria, prepares project documentation, and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to support successful project execution in alignment with Revamp’s mission to design a cleaner future.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESENGINEERING & TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES• Create site layouts and civil land development design sheet sets in AutoCAD and Civil 3D for utility-scale and commercial renewable energy projects.• Work on or lead small projects or portions of larger projects with guidance from senior staff.• Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering procedures, techniques, and criteria to assigned tasks.• Prepare engineering drawings, calculations, and supporting technical documentation.• Formulate and solve engineering problems related to grading, drainage, access roads, and site constraints.• Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, and jurisdictional safety standards, practices, and codes.• Acquire and apply working knowledge of renewable energy project layouts and components.• Collaboratively use judgment to determine adaptations in methods for nonroutine aspects of assignments.• Receive direction on unconventional or complex problems and a thorough review of completed work for application of sound professional judgment.PROJECT & CLIENT SUPPORT• Support project teams and limited client interaction under the direction of senior staff.• Attend project meetings and present specific aspects of engineering assignments.• Coordinate assigned tasks with discipline team members to meet project schedules and deliverables.LEADERSHIP & COLLABORATION• Coordinate with designers and junior engineers to complete assigned tasks.• Participate in mentoring and knowledge-sharing within the discipline team.• Collaborate effectively with cross-disciplinary teams including structural, electrical, environmental, and project management staff.ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES• Perform essential duties including meeting deliverables and deadlines.• Perform additional related duties as assigned.EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIESREQUIRED• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical or design discipline (e.g., Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Design), or an associate’s degree orgreater in an unrelated field combined with significant, relevant civil or land development experience.• 2+ years of experience in civil engineering design and drafting.• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.• Demonstrated ability to apply engineering principles and solve moderately complex problems.• Effective verbal and written communication skills.• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities with minimal supervision.• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.PREFERRED• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is desirable. • Prior experience with utility-scale solar PV or energy storage system projects.• Experience preparing grading, drainage, and site access designs for large-scale developments.• Advanced grading design for large, complex developments.
